In this practice, we concentrate on aesthetics and we offer fixed appliance orthodontic treatment for adult patients only to relieve crowding and straighten crooked teeth or close gaps between teeth. On the other hand, comprehensive treatment for adults tends to be difficult and technically demanding. The absence of growth means that growth modification to treat jaw discrepancies is not possible. The only possibilities are tooth movement for camouflage (which we offer) or orthognathic surgery (jaw operation). We use aesthetic brackets which are white with white wires and elastic bands to make your treatment less visible to the public.
Pain is very minimal but in the beginning soreness, about 3-5 days and the occurrence of mouth ulcers are possible.
The length of the treatment is about 12-24 months.
At the end of your treatment, you will be using your retainers (removable) actively for 6-9 months and from time to time afterward to prevent any relapse and keep the teeth straight.
